TOMORROW I WILL DANCE

BY GRACIE GALLAGHER

Tomorrow I will dance

And hold a thousand sunlights in my hand

I will bask in the glow of morning break

and sigh a sigh of relief and welcoming

And yet today I let myself sink

I lock my doors and let the barriers break

And it all feels so good

It’s spiraling into a moment I know I will let go of

But for now, I let myself spin.

The world is without movement,

just for a moment.

And tomorrow I will wake

With stained cheeks and glassy eyes, maybe

But whatever morning brings

And every sun resurrection after

I will feel what demands to be felt

And it will feel so damn good.
